We introduce coaches from the couch - Nikola Dubak

Make a game for young and old, is a major challenge, especially when you consider the different interests of fans. While young people are more interested in the dynamics of the game, graphics, status and the older are better strategists, they deeply think  before making a decision. In an interview we had with Nikola Dubak, namely player nick_038, person whom basketball is in the blood who as he says at first fell in love with our game. Here's why.

CC: Tell us where you live, what you do, whether you practice basketball or practiced and where?

ND: Nikola Dubak(43g) from Belgrade (born in Pristina), an economist, a former professional basketball player and coach. I played for clubs: KK Kosovo Polje, Pristina and KK KK Grmija and I was the assistant coach of  BC Jugopetrol. Otherwise I'm proud father of five-year twins Emilia and Helene. I play basketball regularly for recreation with former teammates.

CC: How did you find out about the application CouchCoach and what were your first impressions when you started using it?
ND: I accidentally found it out on the website of ABA league. At first I did not install it because I already played ABA Fantasy. However after the first installation and management team, other applications (ABA Fantasy, Euroleague Fantasy) have fallen into the background.

CC: Are you interested in  matches  of ABA league, do you have a favorite team and favorite coach?
ND: ABA League is very interesting and I follow it from its foundation. My favorite team is and  coach Aleksandar Džikić. Since my wife is from Bar, I must emphasize that I am a fan of Mornar too.

CC: In addition to ABA league do  you follow Serbian Basketball League and the Euroleague, the Champions League and the NBA?
ND: I follow the Euroleague, as well as the Champions League. NBA I watch less, but always read about it. Of course, the most interested is whether Jokić made a few more double or triple and how he played.  As for the Basketball League of Serbia I follow, especially BC Dynamic and BC Vršac. I think it is a pity that more matches Basketball League of Serbia are not broadcasted. I hope you will carry all his matches in Superliga, which I think will be more interesting than ever.

CC: Do you find CouchCoach interesting and what you are most interested in?
ND: Application CouchCoach is so interesting, but it is addictive. With the application you can watch a match with new eyes, the eyes of the right coach. Every game ahead is some sort of preparation. You must bear in mind the condition of players of the team. The most interesting is that with the application CouchCoach you begin to think like a coach who guide.

CC: Give us the major drawbacks of the application, that is the way how we are going to improve it.
ND: I am sure that the number of personal fouls of players need to stand next to his name and position. This is a very important parameter. When you need to make a quick decision about the shift, this information is very important.Maybe in the future you should consider the scoring through a performance index rating of a player and not only achieved baskets.

CC: What is your highest score so far?
ND: Favorite outcome of my first place in playing BC Partizan against MegaLeks ½ in Korac Cup. The reason is that Partizan entered the final game weak, without the head coach, with not enough players in rotation. Man had to be patient and play smart, both in the field and off the couch .... and we won.

CC: Which team would you prefer ABA league "to advise" if you had this opportunity?
ND: Partizan, of course.

CC: Your message to CouchCoach team.
ND: I'm glad it exists, but I still prefer it to be a world-famous applications. Set just and global success is guaranteed. I would like to thank to the whole the team.  At least we can feel like a real trainers. All the best in your future endeavors.
